The Tourism Association of Canton Sarajevo showcased the tourism offer of Canton Sarajevo at one of the most important international tourism fairs BIT Milano (Borsa Internazionale del Turismo) in Milan, drawing strong interest and achieving significant international outreach.
BIT Milano is established as a central platform for the promotion of destinations, innovations, and trends in the global travel industry. This year’s edition brought together more than 1,000 exhibitors from over 60 countries, including representatives of tourism boards, travel agencies, tour operators, and destinations from around the world, creating numerous business and promotional opportunities to connect with industry professionals. The fair traditionally records high attendance, with tens of thousands of visitors, professionals, and travellers attending in previous years to explore the latest tourism offers and trends.
The Tourism Association of Canton Sarajevo appeared at the fair in cooperation with travel agencies from Bosnia and Herzegovina (Fortuna Tours, Saray Bosnia Travel, Zoom Travel, Bella Bosnia Tours) and hoteliers (Mövenpick Hotel Sarajevo), further strengthening the joint presentation of the destination’s tourism offer and potential. During the fair, the stand was also visited by the Consul General Dag Đumrukčić and the Consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Milan, Arijana Džogović, confirming the support of state and diplomatic institutions for tourism promotion and the strengthening of international cooperation.
The promotion of Canton Sarajevo was met with exceptionally strong interest from visitors and tourism professionals, particularly from Italy, a market that traditionally generates a significant number of visitors to our destination. Travellers from Italy continue to be among the most numerous visitors to Canton Sarajevo, confirming the strategic importance of our presence at this fair.
