The Tourist Board of Sarajevo Canton, together with partners from the tourism sector, participated for the first time at IBTM World Barcelona, one of the most important global events in the MICE industry (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions), held from 18 to 20 November 2025 in Spain.
This prestigious international business event provided an ideal platform where global MICE supply and demand converge, creating opportunities for new partnerships and the strengthening of international cooperation.
IBTM World Barcelona 2025 brought together:
- 2,500 destinations, hotels, event technology companies, and suppliers from more than 150 countries worldwide
- 12,000 leading professionals from the global MICE industry
- 75,000 business meetings held over three days
Participation at IBTM World enabled us to:
- establish new business connections with international buyers
- gain insights into the latest trends in event planning, technology, and management
- take part in exclusive networking programs
- attend expert conferences and sessions led by global industry leaders
- enhance our knowledge and capacities within the MICE segment
- promote Sarajevo Canton and Bosnia and Herzegovina as emerging and attractive MICE and bleisure destinations
IBTM World brings together key stakeholders of the industry, including tourism boards and organizations, leading hotel brands and convention centers, event-tech companies, airlines and transportation providers, corporate and incentive travel agencies, event organizers, and DMC companies.
As co-exhibitors at the Visit Sarajevo-branded stand, the Tourist Board of Sarajevo Canton was joined by the Tourist Boards of the Cities of Mostar and Bihać, Hills & Hollywood Hotels, Courtyard by Marriott, and agencies Fortuna DMC, 2M Travel, Espy Bosnia, Holiday Bosnia, and Bosnian Tour Operator. In addition to numerous high-level meetings, we were particularly honored to welcome Zlatko Mijatović, Minister of Economy of Sarajevo Canton, Sanin Ramezić, Director of Sarajevo International Airport, and Vedrana Vikić Musić, Director of the Airport Services Sector, to our stand.
Promotion at IBTM World Barcelona has been recognized as a significant step toward strengthening the international visibility of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina as destinations well-suited for congresses, conferences, and business events.
