Dariva – The Ambassadors Avenue

One or two kilometers from Baščaršija down the old road leading east and towards Kozja ćuprija where the river Mošćanica flows into Miljacka, an Italian man named Josef Da Riva opened a diner at the end of the 12th century. Thus, the wider area known as Kozja ćuprija was named after the Italian innkeeper Da Riva – Dariva. Today, this area is mainly used for walking, recreation and cycling.
