Sarajevo city is capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina and really is the city with great sport culture in this country. So, being very rich with the very attractive and historically interesting sport temples and attraction is not something that was ever a question.
Our story about Sport Attractions in Sarajevo we start with Olympic beauties.
First on the list, the Olympic Stadium Koševo, built in 1948, today named after one of the greatest Bosnia and Herzegovina soccer players Asim Ferhatović - Hase. It is the home stadium of famous soccer club F.K. Sarajevo, whose one of, if not the greatest player of all times Hase really was.
Stadium is also most often home place for National Bosnia and Herzegovina soccer team.

Next on the list, and is located just next to Koševo stadium is Olympic Hall Zetra (name origins from Zelena Transferzala), recently (June 2010.) renamed to Olympic Hall Juan Antonio Samaranch to honor great friend of Sarajevo Mr. Samaranch. The Zetra had been completely destroyed in the recent Siege of Sarajevo, but successfully rebuilt after.
Whole complex is consisted of open and closed areas plus additional soccer field in Zetra vicinity.
Short rest from Olympic sites to move to second most popular soccer stadium in Sarajevo, home ground of another popular Sarajevo soccer club F.K. Željezničar, famous Grbavica, or amongst Željezničar fans famously called Dolina Ćupova.

It was built in 1953, and almost completely destroyed in recent Siege, when it was even a minefield. Today not completely rebuilt is one of the sport jewels of this city.
Again we are back to Olympic sites, and next on the list is Olympic Hall Skenderija, today quite often home place for K.K. Bosna and R.K. Bosna. During the Olympic Games the hockey was being played here.
Now we are heading toward the mountains around Sarajevo, where again Olympic battles have been hosted, so we mention Bjelašnica Olympic Mt., as one of the most famous skiing destinations in B&H, together with Jahorina and Igman. At Igman do not miss Ski Jumping facility there, still destroyed from recent Siege.
The last Olympic beauty would be Bob Sled Trebević, once the greatest bob sled in Europe today destroyed but still is trying to defy the time.

New built Olympic swimming pool at Otoka would be good destination for some quality swimming, and newly built Soccer stadium at Otoka, soon to be home to youngest Sarajevo soccer team F.K. Olimpik.
Last but not the least is Golf battlefield at Betanija city area. If you are Golf fan, bring your golf clubs.
